02 What data do we receive?
We only receive data that you give us yourself, plus the technical data needed to make the website and the form work.
Through the contact form
- Your name and email address, and, if you fill them in, your phone number and city.
- Your business name and what you tell us about your business, your customers and what you offer.
- Your answers about the project: type of website, number of pages, languages, features, budget, goals and any additional information.
Through the project configurator
The configurator (“Start your project”) asks about the type of website, your goals, the number of pages, whether you want to manage content yourself, SEO, hosting, a short description of your project and your contact details: your name and email address, and, if you fill them in, your phone number and business name. While you fill it in, your answers stay in your browser. Only when you press “Send my request” are your answers and contact details sent to us, in the same way as the contact form. If you close the configurator without sending, we receive nothing.
After sending, you can also send us a WhatsApp message. That is your choice: WhatsApp then opens with a short sample message that you see first.
Through WhatsApp, email and phone
If you contact us through WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive what you share there, such as your name, number or email address and the content of your message.
If you are a client
If we work together, we also process the data needed for the assignment and our administration, such as billing details, agreements and the materials you provide (texts, images, access to accounts).
Technical data
When you send the form, our server uses your IP address to prevent abuse, such as repeatedly sending messages. This happens briefly in the server’s memory; we do not store the IP address with your request. As with almost every website, the server the site runs on may record technical requests in log files.
03 What do we use it for, and on what legal basis?
We do not use your data for newsletters, advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.
04 How long do we keep data?
- Requests that don’t lead to an assignment are kept for as long as needed to handle your question and, where relevant, follow up later. After that we delete them.
- Client data is kept for as long as we work together and, after that, for as long as needed for agreements, warranties or questions about the delivered work.
- Administrative records, such as invoices, are kept for as long as the law requires. For the Dutch tax authorities this is generally seven years.
Would you like us to delete your data sooner? Let us know. We will, unless we are required to keep it.
05 Who do we share data with?
To make the website and our services work, we use a number of services. They only process data for that purpose:
- Hosting: the website and the form run on a server provided by a hosting company.
- Email: a submitted form reaches us as an email, via a service that delivers that message. Our mailbox is hosted by an email provider.
- WhatsApp: only if you choose to contact us via WhatsApp yourself. See below.
We do not share data with other parties, unless it is needed for an assignment you give us (for example registering a domain name in your name) or the law requires us to.
If you choose WhatsApp, you leave our website and use a service of WhatsApp (part of Meta). What you send there is processed under WhatsApp’s terms and privacy policy, which we have no influence on. We see the conversation in our own WhatsApp account and only use it to help you. Rather not use WhatsApp? Then use the form, email or phone.
06 Data outside the European Economic Area
Some services may process data outside the EEA, for example WhatsApp if you choose WhatsApp yourself. If we use a service provider outside the EEA, we only do so with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
07 Cookies and storage in your browser
This website sets no cookies. We use no analytics, no advertising or tracking technology and no social media plugins. That is why we don’t ask for cookie consent either.
The website does store one small piece of information in your own browser. It is not sent to us:
- Language (
webrescue.lang): remembers that you are using the English version.
The fonts and all scripts on this website are loaded from webrescue.ma itself, not through external services.
08 Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The website uses an encrypted connection (https), the form is protected against abuse and submitted requests only arrive in our own mailbox. No system is completely without risk; if we notice a problem with your data, we act as the law requires.
09 Your rights
You can always ask us:
- what data we hold about you (access);
- to correct inaccurate data;
- to delete data, insofar as we are not required to keep it;
- to temporarily restrict its use;
- to receive your data in a common format or have it transferred (portability);
- and you can object to use based on our legitimate interest.
Send your request to info@webrescue.nl. We respond within one month. Sometimes we ask you to confirm that the request really comes from you.
Don’t agree with how we handle your data? Let us know first, and we’ll look for a solution together. You can also file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority).
